The Great American Road Rally ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at americanroadrally.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

The Site is a static informational site. We do not run third-party advertising trackers or embedded social-media widgets, we do not use cookies to profile you, and we do not sell personal information. We collect personal information only when you choose to provide it — for example, when you email us, submit a press inquiry, or sign up to be reminded when the show airs. In those cases we may collect your name, email address, and anything you include in your message.

How we use information

We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, send the reminder or updates you requested, and support press and media relations. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it except as needed to provide these services or as required by law.

Donation links

When you use a donation link on the Site, we route the click through our own address (americanroadrally.com/give/…) before sending you on to the charity. This lets us count how many people click through to each cause, so we can see which causes draw the most interest, and it passes a campaign tag to the charity so their own analytics can recognize traffic from the rally. This counting uses standard server request logs, not cookies, and does not identify you personally. Once you reach the charity's website, that site's own privacy practices apply.

Third-party services

• Email and form submissions may be handled by a third-party email service provider acting on our behalf, solely to deliver our messages and responses.
• Interactive route maps load map tiles from CARTO and OpenStreetMap. When a map loads, those services receive standard web-request information (such as your IP address and browser type) as part of serving the tiles.
• The Site links to external sites, including The CW, the Heart browser, and our partner charities. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Cookies

We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Any cookies used are limited to what is strictly necessary for the Site to function.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
